We see you in Breakbulk Europe 2024!

Bilbao's multimodal logistics community will have a prominent presence at Breakbulk Europe
Once again this year, UniportBilbao, together with the Port Authority of Bilbao and a delegation of its companies, will participate in Breakbulk Europe (stands E25 - F24), the world's leading event for breakbulk, ro-ro traffic, heavylift and project cargo, which will be held in Rotterdam from 21 to 23 May.

Breakbulk Europe provides an excellent showcase for Bilbao's multimodal logistics sector, on the one hand, for shipping companies and third party logistics operators by showing them the capacity of the port and its terminals and, on the other hand, for shippers by showing them the services offered in Bilbao by its business community. A multimodal community that accompanies them on their continental and intercontinental shipments.
In 2023, they moved more than 3 million tonnes of this traffic, mainly steel products, wind power components, heavy machinery, paper and pulp, construction materials; machinery being the traffic that grew the most over the previous year. European markets such as the United Kingdom, Ireland, Belgium and Finland stand out, as well as transoceanic markets such as Japan, Taiwan, India, South Korea, Vietnam and the United States. In fact, the fastest growing markets are to be found in three transoceanic markets: Vietnam, Japan and India.
In addition, Breakbulk will also be a good showcase for the industrial side of the port of Bilbao derived from the industrial tradition of its powerful hinterland and the ever increasing size of the parts to be shipped. An industrial tradition that can also be seen in its inner harbour and which has found new areas of opportunity adjacent to the quays in the old shipyards.
