Uniport coordinates de "Big & Safety" presentation at the VII. Euskadi Logistics Conference.

Uniport has been the coordinator of the "Big & Safety" presentation at the VII Euskadi Logistics Conference organised by the Mobility, Logistics and Its Cluster of Euskadi, to whom we publicly thank for the invitation to participate in this event.
The opening and presentation were carried out by Fernando Zubillaga (Manager of MLC-ITS Euskadi) who welcomed the attendees and Oscar Barranco (Divisional Director Spain & Portugal of EasyFairs Group), collaborator of the conference who at the same time announced the celebration in Bilbao of the fair Empack, Logistics & Automotion on 1 and 2 March next year.Today's conference allowed the participants in this hybrid (face-to-face and digital) event to learn about various aspects of the logistics world, especially automation and digitalisation from the perspective of some of the activities that make up the sector.
AR Racking, Ulma Handling Systems, Eroski, Dachser, Mondragon Unibertsitatea, CLCircular and Grupo Igarle, have shown warehouse automation solutions, digitisation of logistics processes, improvements in production planning models, control of the supply chain by sensors and the tax obligations that come to the road transport sector and the possibility of converting them into opportunities through digitisation.
The participation of Uniport, as a cluster of the port of Bilbao, focused on a very specific aspect of logistics. That of the packaging of capital goods and, more specifically, of the technology at the service of the design of special packaging that preserves the safety of the cargo.
For this purpose, we have relied on the presentations of Ion Alberdi, General Manager of Embalan3 and Juan Carlos Maurer, Managing Director of T. Titán Industrial.
Both speakers insisted on the importance of working, for this type of cargo, on logistics from the design of the product in order to maximise safety and, at the same time, transport economy.
