Transport Overseas Shipping Iberia, a subsidiary of the German company Transport Overseas Group (TO Group), has recently applied to join Uniport after consolidating its position in Bilbao, where it began its activity in November 2021 as agent for the Europe Caribbean Line (Vertraco), part of the Vertom Group.

TO Group stands out as one of the few shipowners to offer service to the Caribbean and intra-Caribbean, as well as the advantages of the maritime service itself in terms of flexibility to accommodate a wide variety of goods, both containerised, project cargo, breakbulk and roll-on/roll-off.

The ECL (Vertraco) service offers a weekly and direct service from Antwerp (Belgium), Flushing (Netherlands), Hull (UK) and monthly services from Bilbao to Georgetown (Guyana), Paramaribo (Suriname), Point Lisas (Trinidad and Tobago) and other ports such as Puerto Cabello, Guanta, La Guaira (Venezuela) with very short transit times and connecting the rest of the Caribbean to the Dominican Republic).
