TRANSPORT OVERSEAS SHIPPING IBERIA

Bilbao | January 1, 2024

Transport Overseas Shipping Iberia, a subsidiary of the German company Transport Overseas Group (TO Group), has recently requested its incorporation in Uniport once it has consolidated its position in Bilbao, where it began its activity in November 2021 as agent of the Europe Caribbean Line (Vertraco), of the Vertom Group.

TO Group, stands out for being one of the few shipowners that offer service with the Caribbean and intra-Caribbean, in addition to the advantages of the maritime service itself in terms of flexibility to accommodate a wide variety of goods, both containerized, project cargo, breakbulk and roll-on/roll-off cargo. The ECL (Vertraco) service offers a weekly and direct service from Antwerp (Belgium), Flushing (Netherlands), Hull (UK) and monthly from Bilbao to Georgetown (Guyana), Paramaribo (Suriname), Point Lisas (Trinidad and Tobago) and other ports such as Puerto Cabello, Guanta, La Guaira (Venezuela) with very short transit times and connecting the rest of the Caribbean to the Dominican Republic).

This request coincides with the good news of the incorporation of a new vessel, the Vertom Joy, in the rotation from the port of Bilbao to the Caribbean. This new vessel joins the already regular Beautriton, Breautrader and Breautranga served in Bilbao by Transport Overseas Shipping Iberia as general agent for our country of European Caribbean Line (Vertraco Shipping).
