Signed the agreement for the collective agreement for the stevedoring sector in the Port of Bilbao

The Port Authority of Bilbao has informed that its offices have hosted, this morning, the signing of the basic agreement for the modification of the local sectoral collective agreement for the stevedoring service of the Port of Bilbao for the next six years. The agreement, reached after long months of negotiations, has been ratified by the four shareholder companies of Bilboestiba CPE (Bergé, Consignaciones Toro y Betolaza, CSP Iberian Bilbao Terminal and Servicios Logísticos Portuarios-SLP) and the trade unions Coordinadora and UGT.
This agreement means providing a framework of viability and employment stability for the sector, long awaited by the entire port community, and is a key and necessary step to improve the competitiveness of the Port of Bilbao, on the main bases of an improvement in the productivity of the port service, the maintenance of quality employment and compliance with current regulations".
