RHENUS | A new phytosanitary certification for the logistics platform of Bilbao

The logistics platform of Rhenus in Bilbao occupies an area of over 3,400 metres and is 12 metres high. With its five loading bays, it is classified as a customs warehouse and focused on the specific needs of local industry. Inside, it has four machines for handling goods, with an elevation capacity from 1.5 to 16 tons per item, which implies specific equipment to handle large volumes and heavy loads, successfully catering for any logistic need.

From its platform, Rhenus offers air and sea transport services, as well as special projects, customs services (with customs warehouses and Temporary deposit warehouses) or actions of comprehensive logistics, to which we can add now the authorisation they have obtained as a timber warehouse for carrying out phytosanitary inspections on wood for export to other countries.

With its strategic location, almost at the foot of the quay, little more than one kilometre from the port's TECO terminal and linking to the terrestrial network of Rhenus, this new service will speed up operations and provide greater competitiveness to the numerous exporters of wood that use to the port of Bilbao.
