AIYON ABOGADOS | Reinforces its position in Air and Space law

Aiyon Abogados continues its commitment to become a benchmark office in Air law. Its position in this area is reinforced by the new qualification obtained by Zuberoa Elorriaga, a partner of the Bilbao office, who graduated in the first graduating class of the “Postgraduate Specialist in Air and Space Law Course” delivered by the Law Faculty (ICADE), of the Comillas Pontifical University, in collaboration with the Spanish Association of Air and Space Law (AEDAE).

These two prestigious entities began a pioneering initiative to help solve the training deficit in Spain, not only in air but also in space law, traditionally monopolised by the Administration and other public entities until its liberalisation.

The interest and involvement of Aiyon Abogados in this speciality became evident last November 5^th with the participation of the Bilbao and Algeciras partners - Zuberoa Elorriaga and José Antonio Domínguez- in the 33^rd Annual Conference of the European Air Association Law (EALA) in Copenhagen. 

This meeting of experts dealt with questions regarding competition in the sector, State aid and EU legislation, the impact of Brexit, changes in air industry financing and sustainable aviation, among other issues.
