TRANSBIAGA | NORDEX | Collaboration in the Gecama project

Transbiaga will install 67 wind turbines in the Gecama wind farm (Cuenca), which with its 41 square kilometres, will be the largest in Spain.

The concrete towers are 120 metres high and weigh up to 255 tons, while the nacelle and generator (Delta model 4000 by Nordes) weigh 140 tons with 74-metre-long blades that weigh 21 tons.

They will use a Liebherr LG 1750 boom crane for the installation, with a boom configured for a maximum height of 165 metres, as well as a fleet of 49 vehicles that include another five of the same characteristics and eight Liebherr LR 1600/2W cranes on tracks. Elevation equipment added to the fleet of 50 trucks and more than 250 semi-trailers.

INTERNATIONAL PRESENCE

Transbiaga, based in Arama (Gipuzkoa) and with establishments in Agurain (Álava) and Idiazabal (Gipuzkoa), currently has active projects in Sweden, Chile, Mexico and Puerto Rico, with plans to expand to other countries during the year.
