TEPSA | Acknowledgement as an Inspection Centre

June 2022 | PUERTO DE BILBAO NEWS 97

Terminales Portuaria (Tepsa) recently obtained from the General Directorate of Health of agricultural production, the designation of their Bilbao terminal as an Inspection Centre depending on the Border Control of the port of Bilbao.

This qualification, requested to promote and improve the quality of the different services offered by Tepsa, enables this terminal to receive the import of subproducts of animal origin destined for biofuel production with all the guarantees.

Therefore, the authorisation confirms compliance of Tepsa’s installations in the port of Bilbao with the requirements established in Regulation (UE) 2017/625 and Execution Regulation (UE) 2019/1014 and complements the existing authorisations in their Tarragona and Barcelona installations.

Present in the port of Bilbao since 1968, Tepsa has currently over 321,000 m3 of capacity distributed in 79 tanks under the concept of "Flexible Tanking", or the ability to adapt to the multiple demands for liquid products.

It also has its own railway terminal.
