Servicios Logísticos Portuarios - SLP will speed up its operational capacity in the port of Bilbao by moving two of its concessions for handling and storage of general goods to the same space. An action that also includes enlarging the area available by about 5,000 square metres.

These 5,000 square metres are added to the 26,000 it already has in the Reina Victoria dock, and it will concentrate its current concessions and manoeuvring area of the E2 and E1 Sur quays in Bizkaia dock.

According to the company, the aim of these operations is mainly to "increase operational efficiency and profitability of the activities by grouping installations, equipment and resources, thus becoming more competitive".

SLP has over 140,000 square metres in concession in the port of Bilbao, a mooring line measuring 1.7 kilometres, with drafts of up to 20 metres, 42,000 square metres of covered warehouses, and traffic of 2.3 million tons a year, which amounts to 31% of the non-containerised dry cargo.
