CMA CGM | GEFCO | Acquires the whole of Gefco

The invasion of Ukraine and resulting EU sanctions on Russia have accelerated the sale of Gefco to the French group CMA CGM.

With this acquisition, the CMA CGM Group has announced that it will guarantee the long-term continuity and stability of Gefco's business while at the same time strengthening its development within the subsidiary CEVA Logistics. Both together aspire to become a world leader in automotive logistics, where both companies have an important presence, as well as reinforcing the rest of the logistics business areas within the global strategy of the CMA CGM Group, focused on developing and providing point-to-point solutions for their clients.

In the port of Bilbao, CMA CGM has an important presence in "short sea shipping" and multimodal under the brand Containerships, as well as offering made to measure solutions for intercontinental traffic.
