BREXIT | New procedures as of 1 January 2022

December 2021 | PUERTO DE BILBAO NEWS95

The British Government recently announced the list of ports that can use the “Goods Vehicle Movement Service – GVMS” as of 1 January 2022, most of them having the possibility of the goods reaching Great Britain in ro-ro services to arrive with pre-lodgement, informing the GMR or dispatched in these ports, with the trucks and/or trailers entering a Temporary deposit area once disembarked.

Trucks entering via the ports of Dover, Liverpool, Newhaven and Sheerness and through the Eurotunnel will be exempted by the British government from this double possibility, for which it will be mandatory to arrive with the goods with pre-lodgement and with a GMR (Assigned movement number that contains the customs clearance of the different batches transported. by the truck/trailer).

It is recommended to consult the operational novelties that the British Government has published in this page.
