The Bilbao Port Authority presents its 2023-2026 strategic plan

The Strategic Plan of the Bilbao Port Authority 2023-2026 points the way for Bilbao to continue being a green, competitive and responsible port. With these three premises, the entity that manages the port of Bilbao makes three value proposals: to drive and accompany the port's customers to face the impacts derived from the energy transition; sustain the competitiveness of the industry of the territory adapting the infrastructures and services to their needs and requirements; and redouble the effort to contribute to the social and economic environment, guaranteeing its enhancement to society.

In the official presentation of the Plan before a large representation of the port community, its president, Ricardo Barkala, has indicated that within the strategy to be followed, the mission of promoting the competitiveness of the Port's clients is established, contributing to the sustainable socioeconomic development of its Influence zone. This mission will be carried out from the vision of being a reference port in logistics chains with the Atlantic axis, contributing to improving the competitiveness of the economic-business fabric through the provision of value-added and sustainable services. The values ​​will be: customer orientation; collaborative culture; commitment to people; excellence, ethics and professionalism; and social, economic and environmental sustainability.

With all this, five axes are outlined within the Strategic Plan for the next four years, three external and two internal, and some associated objectives for 2026.
