IDOM CONSULTING | Strategic plan for digitalizing the port of Seville

The IDOMConsulting team has carried out a strategic digitalisation plan for the port of Seville, with over 49 measures focused on improving logistical connectivity and competitiveness, as well as modernising technology and systems.

Presenting the Plan of the Port Authority of Seville (APS), Joaquín Muñoz Galvez, IT expert in IDOM and Sandra Sinde Cantorna, Director of public purchasing of innovation in IDOM, explained the key aspects of the roadmap for transformation and facilitated a workshop, next to the port community, to detect new horizons and trends.

IDOM is an independent company, born in Bilbao and with 65 years of experience, offering professional consultancy, engineering and architecture services, with projects on all five continents and over 4,300 professionals in over 125 countries.

One of its activities is linked to ports and particularly to the design and implementation of the "Port Community System (PCS)", carried out for the ports of Algeciras, Jamaica, San Antonio (Chile), Abu Dhabi and Callao (Peru), among others. It has also collaborated with the Banco Iberoamericado de Desarrollo (BIC) in drawing up a guide for improving the efficiency of ports through PCS and one-stop windows for foreign trade, for Caribbean ports and the IPCSA (International Port Community System Association) in drawing up a Global Study of PCS.
